    I have called to the local auction the last couple of weeks and they have had a lot of those fake coins listed and all sleeved up to make them look better.

    Any newbie could well be fooled by them, surprised the auction even listed them.

    I think that your trade dollar was the last year minted since the Great Qing Dynasty collapsed in 1911 (the name is literally Empire of the Great Qing) the characters on the top and bottom are Chinese and since the Great Qing Dynasty was founded by Manchurians instead of Han Chinese the characters on the left and right are written in Manchu. Nice trade dollar!
