2013 Great Basin National Park Quarters Three Coin Set

Tomorrow, June 25, 2013 at 12:00 Noon ET, the United States Mint will begin sales for the latest America the Beautiful Quarters 3-Coin Set featuring the Excellent Basin National Park Quarters.

The reverse style of the Wonderful Basin Quarter features a single Bristlecone Pine tree and the rocky glacial moraines where the trees develop. At the style overview stage, both the Commission of Fine Arts and Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee had suggested this style by Ronald D. Sanders. The obverse carries the 1932 portrait of George Washington created by John Flanagan.

Every single three coin set includes one uncirculated coin struck at the Philadelphia Mint, 1 uncirculated coin struck at the Denver Mint, and one particular proof coin struck at the San Francisco Mint. The three coins are mounted on a plastic card, which includes an image from the park on the front, along with a certificate of authenticity and short descriptions on the back.

The 2013 Fantastic Basin National Park Quarter Three Coin Set is priced at $ 9.95. There are no stated solution limits or household ordering limits.

Oddly, the solution page indicates that this product will be offered for sale only for a single year from the initial on-sale date or until inventory is depleted prior to the one particular year time frame. Even though this availability period has been used for other current item releases, these three coin sets have not carried any availability deadlines in prior years.

This will represent the eighteenth release within the product series. All seventeen of the prior three-coin sets going back to 2010 still stay obtainable for sale on the US Mint&#8217s website. Sales levels range from a low of 12,778 for the most not too long ago released set featuring Perry&#8217s Victory and International Peace Memorial to a higher of 22,225 units for the set featuring Yellowstone National Park.
